I like Romance Reviews Today, and they like me, too!
Got this cool review from Romance Reviews Today, and am totally jazzed!

DEEP COVER is a complex tale of intrigue and romance that starts within weeks of the conclusion of the first book in the series, THE ASSASSIN. Selena McCaffrey is a half-Puerto Rican, half-black woman who was plucked from a life of pick-pocketing on the streets of Jamaica by the man she calls her "uncle", William Davis. Sent to the best schools and dressed in the best clothes, Selena was raised to be an assassin and the eventual heir to William's criminal enterprises. Taking the deal with the FBI, Selena hopes she can put that part of her life behind her for good. But first she'll need to navigate the treacherous waters of the drug business and the even more dangerous depths of family dysfunction before her journey will end.

A thoroughly engrossing tale, DEEP COVER is a must read. -- Kathy Samuels

Thank you very much, Ms. Samuels!

I'm currently waiting to hear from my editor on the synopsis for the next Selena book. I'm looking forward to diving in with both feet. The book opens with a bang -- literally. Blowing up Selena's house was fun to write! She and Tony are going on the run, and there will be appearances from some of the folks in DEEP COVER, as well as a new character or two who has great potential. And, of course, Selena learns more about her background and William's treachery.

In the meantime, I've got this other idea that came to me in the night (from one of those dark corners of my mind where I don't look too closely!) that's really tempting me. The heroine's another unique character like Selena -- hmm, that sounds funny. She's not like Selena at all, except that she's not the typical suspense-novel heroine. Does that make more sense? I think I'm going to like her an awful lot.

And, if things run true to nature, as soon as I get totally involved with her story, I'll get the okay on Selena and have to switch gears. But that's okay. I like her an awful lot, too. Rachel9:14 AM
